North Texas H.O.G. Rod Lehr Eulogy

by Tammy Bourne

Funny, warm and caring.  A dear, dear friend.  Someone who could make you cry in laughter with his remarkable way of telling a story.  Someone who had a passion for riding the country side, with his new found love.  Together they explored our great country.

Perhaps you've heard the roar of laughter at some corner table after a dinner ride? Perhaps you turned your head his way to share in that laughter?  Many Wednesday nights Rod joined us.  A Chapter member for years and a man who entertained those who knew him.

Rod Lehr died Tuesday Seven December.  He died while riding.  We will miss him desperately, remember him always and know in our heart he is with the "Big Guy" above.

The last time I saw Rod was indeed on a Dinner ride, where I promptly threw him a one fingered wave when he turned off to head home.  I know he laughed by my crazy wave knowing as I did I was saying "See ya on the next ride."

Al and I knew his lady Vivian was coming to town to spend some time with him.  We looked forward to seeing the two of them this week.  Now she's mourning, she's broken, and she's beaten up.
